Ten years. It’s incredible how simultaneously long and short that can feel.

When we started Krux in 2016, it was because we believed the industry needed something better. The data was there – in paper reports or excel spreadsheets – but it wasn’t being used to its full potential.

We needed cleaner and more consistent data, clearer workflows, and a way for teams to make decisions grounded in data truth, not guesswork.

From the very beginning, Krux was shaped by conversations in the field, in core shacks, in dusty site offices, and around whiteboards where geos, drillers, and techs shared the same frustrations: fragmented reporting, inconsistent standards, hard-to-reach data, and missed opportunities for optimisation.

Our mission was simple—to standardise drilling data and give operations a single source of clarity.

And here we are, ten years later, having done exactly that at scale.

A Journey Built With Customers

Looking back, the real story of Krux isn’t about the technology. It’s about the people who trusted us early – the customers who were willing to try something new and challenge the status quo.

They pushed us to be better, they helped us grow, and they shaped the platform into what it is today.

Many of those early clients became long-term partners, and friends. Every feature we’ve built, every workflow we’ve refined, and every dashboard we’ve rolled out came from real operational need.

That’s something I’m proud of, and something that will never change.

A Team That Never Stopped Believing

I can’t reflect on this journey without acknowledging the Krux team.

We’ve stayed intentionally small, focused, and deeply technical. The team we’ve built brings real-world experience—because to truly help someone, you have to understand the challenges they’re facing. Every person who joined this company believed in the mission, often before the market fully understood it.

We worked across time zones, sat in front of rigs, built through setbacks, and celebrated every win along the way.

This team is the reason Krux is what it is. And as we enter the next phase, the same people, passion, and principles continue forward unchanged.
