There’s an unmistakable energy that hits you the moment you step onto the PDAC floor - a sense that our industry is not just evolving, but accelerating. This year was no exception. As thousands of people from across the world came together in Toronto, the conversations, presentations, and partnerships all pointed to a shared ambition: driving operational efficiency through collaboration, innovation, and better decision-making.

For me, this year's PDAC wasn’t just about the technology on display; it was about the people. The customers who shared honest feedback, the partners committed to solving tough industry challenges, and our global team who brought energy to every conversation.

Connecting With Our Customers

Some of the most valuable moments at PDAC are the conversations that happen between the formal sessions - the chance to sit down with customers, hear about the challenges they’re facing on the ground, and discuss where Krux can have the biggest impact.

Whether it was diving into workflow pain points, exploring new applications of drilling data, or simply catching up with long-term clients, these discussions reaffirmed a central truth: the best innovations come from working side by side with the people who use them every day.

We had our product and customer success team on the ground chatting with customers alongside account managers, ensuring our solutions are built directly off the back of real world customer challenges.

Strengthening Ties With Our Global Team

PDAC also offered a rare opportunity to gather our global IMDEX and Krux team members in the same place. From early-morning standups to late-night strategy conversations, the energy was contagious. We had team members on the ground from almost every continent. Bringing people together from multiple continents reminded me how powerful our collective expertise is - and how aligned we are in our mission to help the industry transform.

Collaboration isn’t just a buzzword for us; it’s how we operate. And seeing our technical specialists, product team, field experts, and leadership together reinforced that we’re building something bigger than any one team or product.

Working Shoulder to Shoulder With Our Partners

One of the standout themes for me this year was the strength of our partnerships across the IMDEX ecosystem. At the booth and throughout the conference, we worked closely with the teams from IMDEX, Datarock, Mount Sopris and ALT.

What makes these partnerships meaningful is not just complementary technologies -it’s a shared vision for a connected, efficient future where data flows seamlessly and decisions are grounded in real evidence.

As the IMDEX ecosystem grows, so too does the opportunity for our customers. I’m genuinely excited to see how our combined solutions take shape over the next year.

A Standout Lineup of Presentations

PDAC 2026 delivered exceptional thought leadership, and a few sessions stood out as true highlights (yes, I may be a little biased):

Jody Conrad’s Panel on AI in Mining

Jody brought both clarity and inspiration to a crowded room eager to understand where AI is truly creating value. Her message - that AI is only as powerful as the quality and structure of the data feeding it - hit home for many attendees. The discussion reinforced how essential it is for mining teams to build strong data foundations today to capture tomorrow’s benefits.

Darla Bodnarchuk’s Presentation in the IMDEX Data to Decisions Showcase

Darla delivered a compelling walk through of what a modern end to end data workflow looks like. She demonstrated how integrated systems aren’t just improving efficiency - they’re reducing risk, unlocking productivity, and giving geoscientists more time to focus on what matters most: interpretation and insight.

Sean McCann: A Newmont Case Study in Operational Excellence

Customer proof points are always my favourite presentations. There’s nothing like seeing quantifiable results to see how our team are truly helping to support industry growth.

Sean’s presentation was a standout moment. Hearing Newmont openly share their journey toward global consistency- and how Krux has helped illuminate performance across up to 12 sites - was energising and validating. His line about the team once “driving blind” before adopting a unified data platform resonated deeply with not only me, but everyone in the room.

Sean reminded everyone that operational efficiency isn’t theoretical; it’s measurable, meaningful, and achievable when data becomes part of daily decision making.

An Industry Moving Forward, Together

If there was one overarching theme from PDAC this year, it was unity. Across commodities, continents, and company types, the message was clear: we are stronger when we collaborate.

The shift toward connected workflows, transparent data, and shared best practices is accelerating. Technology is no longer a siloed function - it’s becoming the backbone of operational performance.

Standing among customers, partners, and colleagues at PDAC, I felt incredibly optimistic about where our industry is heading. We’re not just adopting new tools; we’re building a more efficient, resilient, and data driven future together.

And this is only the beginning.
